We use a strong elastic that tightly hugs any adult-sized buttstock. In fact, it is a proprietary mix of polyester, latex and other ingredients that enable this elastic to really hug the shotgun. However, guns are made differently. Some stocks have almost a glass like surface and require shell holders with rubber to keep them in place.
